The complete Bluetooth SIG company registry and the full IEEE hardware registry ship with the app: 22,888 manufacturers and 44,975 identifiers, held on the phone and never looked up over the network. Hardware other scanners leave as Unknown gets a name.
Where a manufacturer publishes how it advertises, SigScan reads the product code out of the packet: a SwitchBot Meter, a Xiaomi LYWSD03MMC, a Lock, a Blind Tilt. 156 products so far, with the tables generated from published data rather than typed by hand.
Sensors that broadcast their measurements are read as the packets pass: temperature, humidity, battery, motion and contact state, from thermometers, leak detectors and door sensors. Nothing is connected to and nothing is requested. These devices are already announcing it to anyone listening.
Most devices are built on somebody else's radio, which is why scanners so often report a sensor as an Espressif or a Nordic device. SigScan reports the chip maker and the brand separately, shows the evidence each identification was built from, and says what else it could have been. Device class (phone, audio, camera, TV, appliance and more) is read from the device itself first. Brands that make many kinds of product are never guessed, so a Samsung TV is not called a phone.
LiDAR mesh occlusion hides bubbles behind real walls. RSSI beam-forming and trilateration converge on each device's true position as you move. Off-screen devices become compass arrows at the edge of the frame.
Risk flags surface known tracker models, unnamed devices broadcasting at high power, and hardware that moves with you. Vendors on the FCC Covered List or restricted under Section 889 are flagged wherever the registries name them, subsidiaries included. If a tracker is following you, SigScan helps you find it.
Hold your phone against an NFC tag and read what is on it: ISO 7816, ISO 15693, and MIFARE, with NDEF records parsed in place. Travel documents are recognised and reported as such, without touching the protected data behind them.
SSID and BSSID, the access point's vendor resolved from its hardware address, the encryption in use, signal strength, and whether the BSSID is randomised rather than real hardware. Only the joined network is profiled: iOS does not let any app scan for other Wi-Fi networks in range.
Every HomeKit accessory by room, with manufacturer, model, serial and firmware version read from the accessory itself. Old firmware is where smart home vulnerabilities live, and most people have never seen these numbers.
Every scan is stamped with where it happened and stored on your phone. Review sessions on a map, see which devices appeared where, export CSV when you want it.
Send any device to a friend through Messages or AirDrop, from its detail screen or by pressing and holding it in a list. A home screen widget shows how many devices are nearby, how many are flagged, and what kinds they are. Choose which screens sit in the tab bar, and pick Light, Dark or System appearance.

Privacy
The only thing SigScan ever sends anywhere is an Ask AI question you type, with a short summary of scanned device names. No location, no identifiers, no profile. If you never use the assistant, the app makes no network requests with your data at all. Full details in the privacy policy.
